Shrink Packaging

In shrink packaging the contents are vacuum packed in special shrink film or pouches. After brief contact with hot water, the film or pouch shrinks to enclose  the product in a skin tight package.

  • Cheese
  • Fresh and processed meat

  • Individual pack design possible
  • Food retains its quality and freshness for much longer; leakage, from packed meat products for example, is prevented
  • Attractive presentation of the product

Products are vacuum packed using a shrinkable packaging material (film or pouch).

After sealing the package is shrunk in hot water using a shrink tank or shrink tunnel.  If the shrink packs are to undergo further processing (e.g. labelling) immediately, the use of a drying tunnel is advisable.
